Two-Way Street?

.

Not sure about you, but I've always thought friendship was supposed to be a two-way street. If one person stops making an effort, the friendship turns into just being acquaintances or all contact is lost.
Sometimes people go down different paths in life, and relationships naturally end, other times life brings you back together, and the friendship picks up where it left off, like nothing has changed.
In other situations one person tries to stay in touch for a while, and when no response is given back....that person trying to maintain the friendship gives up all hope.

Why do people make things so frustrating? Why are people so rude? A simple response is appreciated and considered nice.....
Yes it stings a bit when someone you no longer talk to for whatever reasons delete you on FB...first world problems?
But when you're still "friends" on FB, instagram, twitter, used to double date, and are considered "sisters" it stings a little extra hard when they post on social media but don't have the time to text you back/fb chat you.
Maybe they changed their number? Doubt it.

I give up. Yes it hurts a little to slowly have your "good friends/friends" list dwindle over time....
Guess that means I need to get out more and meet new people? Get more involved in my free time?

Anyone else have this problem with people not following the two-way street unspoken rule when it comes to friendship?

What I've Been Up To....

I've been MIA for a few weeks. Nothing too exciting going on around in my neck of the woods. Just trying to enjoy the lovely fall weather, the warmer days that is...
When you're stuck working 40 hours a week in an office plus 5 for lunch each week life doesn't get too exciting, except on the weekends.
By no means do I consider myself a true blogger-I don't post daily, I don't do ootd's any more, I don't have social media pages dedicated to the blog, I don't take artist pics of my daily happenings. I'm kinda boring, so a rare update is what you'll get if your interested in my happenings that is.
This blog is mostly to read about other's lives.
Anyone else feel that way?

The pumpkin patch, hayride, corn maze, etc are pretty awesome as well. :)

Makes me want to make another trip to it, just for the donuts.

My brother came home from college one weekend, we went bowling,mini golfing, and to IHOP with one of his friends and Andrew.

The Greater KC Chapter of AFSP held their annual community walk. Just shy of $50,000 raised!

Birthday Re-cap!

Well if I do say so myself....this birthday was a pretty good one. Celebrated with family...lunch/dinner....cake/ice cream...presents. With friends....fire pit night and hit up a happy hour.
Downside of my b-day was that I had to work, but my co-workers were super sweet and got me some goodies.

As for this whole blogging thing....I have no motivation and mostly use this site to read other's blogs....so spare with me.

12 Years Later

Today I remember all of the lives lost, the brave first responders, and think about how damn proud I am to be American. 9/11/01, never forget.

My oh my how time flies. I remember sitting in 6th grade. The principal came over the pa system...saying "If anyone had family in NYC to come to the office."
