What do you want to see?

I admit it... I suck at blogging. I don't take nearly enough pictures of my daily and or weekly happenings. And quite frankly some days I just don't know what to post. Any ideas of what you the reader want to see? Hoping to step my game up on personal posts. Feedback would be great. I don't want to be exactly like every other blog, but am open to suggestions. Thanks ladies. :)

Outstanding

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is holding it's annual national convention this week in Houston, TX. A few representatives from the Greater KC chapter of AFSP are attending the convention. Tonight is the awards ceremony. Well, I am proud to announce that the chapter and people that I have come to love, all of our hard work has paid off!! We won the Outstanding First Year Chapter award!! :)

Pic a Pocket

Recently I entered and won a giveaway that Carly at Chicago Prepster held. The prize was a Pic a Pocket long sleeve t-shirt from All That Jas! I completely got to customize it, and LOVE it so much. Wishing I could wear it all the time. Ladies if you have yet to check out All That Jas, now is the time!! They have more than just shirts, they have bags, bows, accessories, jewelry, etc. :)

Would y'all like to see more personal posts on this blog? I have a hard time documenting every occasion with pictures...but would love to share more daily happenings on here, and sometimes I don't do very exciting things. Thoughts on more personal posts? :)

Bought these! Can't wait for them to arrive. My current moccasins from target are falling apart and aren't as comfy to wear any more. The fuzzy stuff around the toes doesn't lye flat anymore.

Vanilla Bean

For graduation, Christmas, and as a thank you for writing a rec letter I received gift cards to starbucks. In total that would be $35 to starbucks. I don't drink or like coffee or tea, so that leaves frappes, hot chocolate, and baked goods, and lots of time to spend them all.
Well the first $10 were spent on a kids hot chocolate and some baked goods. Ended up not eating the baked goods. Dad ate one and I didn't like either of them. I gave the other $5 to my dad for a cup of coffee. Spent another $5 to purchase a gift card for someone as a thank you.
That left $20....so today I bought my mom a strawberry frappe and have always wanted to try the vanilla bean one. Thought what the heck while in the Target Starbucks, and the vanilla bean frappe is my new favorite drink from there. It's a really yummy treat, especially for someone who doesn't like coffee, this has no coffee in it!
The remaining $12.72 will definitely be spent on more of these awesome concoctions.
Gift cards to Starbucks make for an easy gift and don't get me wrong I love to get them....just take longer than most people to spend them, but not this time. :D

My red monogram vest arrived in the mail today! Finally. Looking forward to wearing it. It looks so comfy and warm. :)

My ipad 2. Love to bring it with me to work or Andrew's place. Its much easier and more convenient than lugging around my lap top. Plus the battery lasts much longer.

Sims

Who remembers playing the sims, either on your play station or the computer? I know I played it, a lot. I recently bought an ipad, and came across the sims free play in the app store under free games. You bet I downloaded that sucker. If you have an ipad or iphone definitely check this FREE app out. You will LOVE it. Sure it's a bit different than the original sims, but it's still really fun! Google it if you don't trust me.

Got My Eye On

Would love to get these for valentines day. Luckily I can fit into the kid sized ones, so they are cheaper.  Do you own a pair of hunters, what color?

No Cavities!

Yesterday I had my bi yearly trip to the dentist. I really dislike going. The scraping noise when the hygienist is cleaning your teeth gives me the willies. I don't mind the feeling of clean smooth teeth after word though. Luckily yesterday I didn't have to get x-rays, more sealants, and no cavities 23 years in a row. :) Yes I am lucky enough to have insurance to be able to go. Can you stand to go to the dentist?

Mail call

Impatiently awaiting five packages in the mail. My graduation pictures, my Lilly Pulitzer DZ print picture frame, the monogram vest, my free shirt from the All That Jas contest I won, and my navy Toms. I love getting mail. Hurry up ups, please. :)

My Saturday

My saturday was pretty full of running errands and doing things around the house. I managed to not have to work today and boy was that nice.

I made chocolate chip cookies from scratch and then put oreos inside of them. YUMMY!

Toms

I have to admit I have an obsession with anything navy colored. I have a long champ, shirts, and now a pair of navy blue Toms. Kids sized of course. I already own a pair of the grey ones, but figured I could also use a pair in the navy color. They are super comfy and are for a good cause, so hey why not, right?! This time I made sure to get a half size up, because in order to wear the grey ones I have to keep my toenails super short, ha.

My NYE was spent with some pretty great friends and Andrew. I am very glad he was my midnight kiss. :) This year is bound to be full of great things and many adventures. Can't wait to see what this year holds.
My new year resolutions are:
To find a full time job with benefits
Hit the gym at least once a week
Work on maintaing awesome friendships
