Compromised

GGRRRRRR......
If you haven't already heard about the Target hacking scandal....then you must have been living under a rock. If you don't shop at Target I do feel sorry for you, I love the store, but HATE what happened with all of the personal/banking info that got hacked.

Any who... a few weeks before the Target hacking sh!t, my mother's, my sister's and my own bank cards got "compromised" and were sent new ones.

A few weeks later....dun dun dun....the Target hacking scandal went down. BLAH.
I monitored my checking account online like mad! A few weeks went by and whew-breath a sigh of relief- nothing happened!

Well shortly after that my brother, father, and Andrew the boyfriend ALL got notification of their info being "compromised" some how. UGH. All three hardly shop at Target, except Andrew gets his groceries there.

Currently it's like TWO MONTHS later after the dumb Target scandal and guess whose bank card got "COMPROMISED" AGAIN!?? MINE., that's whose. MAJOR GRRR...
Not sure if it has something to do with my bank or what....but come on. Sounds like my bank needs to get their shit together.

America needs to resort to the way Europeans pay with cards. Instead of a magnetic strip on cards there are microchips that come up with different codes each purchase or something of the sort.

At this point in time I am thinking it might just be safer to carry around cash-but I don't know how safe I would feel with a good chunk of my pay check being in my wallet. At my current place of work we do direct deposit; so online banking ROCKS.

I hardly ever carry cash any more unless I know I am going out to the bars or something.

Anyone else have their info/card compromised? Have you resorted to carrying cash again?

Blogger-ish Probs?

If you look back at the dates of my blog posts, instagram pics, tweets, and fb statuses etc, etc, etc....you might notice a pattern.
The thing is: I feel like I post too little sometimes. Some days I get on kicks with things I want to share or words of wisdom (ha) that come out of my mouth/brain? Other days I am just like uh..... nothing to say. Which is normal I guess, but I would like to get into blogging more. Guess I just feel awkward about doing it.
Things to possibly look into for the future:
Invest in getting a blog design made-have you seen this current hot mess? Hey, now I am doing the best I can.
Buying and using a nice camera. Right now I don't have the money and don't use my current camera. My iphone goes every where so why not just use that camera? It's a lot smaller and easier to use. It has what I would like to call a universally easy camera-no one is too dumb to use it. A big fancy one would take some explaining. So back to square one.
Actually finding things to post about.....let's face it- my life isn't THAT interesting...
For now I think I'll just sit back a bit longer and find some more link up posts again to participate in.

To Shellac or Not to Shellac?

I'm super late to the bandwagon....but I need opinions on wether or not to try out a shellac manicure.
A sales lady at one of the stores today while I was shopping had super pretty nails-they were red shellac polish.
I had fake nails in high school-it was sophomore year and it was cool then, mmmmkay?
Cons of fake nails:They hurt like a witch, were expensive to keep up, and my nails have never been the same since. They are SO not as strong as they once were.

My questions for y'all are:
Is shellac as bad for your nails as fake nails?
How long does the polish usually last?
Is it as expensive to upkeep?
How much does it usually cost to have the shellac removed?

Any help/advice/opinions welcomed, please and thank you.

Road Trip!

Howdy!
In mid March myself and the boy friend will be road tripping to Texas! Specifically Dallas and Austin. We are in need of suggestions on what to do, see, where to eat, and where to shop! We will be staying one night in Oklahoma with some family on the way down and from there will head to Dallas the 15th and Austin the nights of the 16th and 17th.  We plan on making the trek back home on the 18th. We will be staying with friends while in Texas....and are also in need of some gifts for our gracious hosts.
Any and all options are welcomed. :)

48th Reason to Party

As you know it's SUPER BOWL SUNDAY! The Superbowl has been around for 48 years.
My KC Chiefs went to the first one....but not even going to go there.

For this years game of Seattle vs Denver, I feel like Denver forgot to show up. It was a boring game-Seattle kicked butt in case you missed it.

I wore blue-to appear neutral in what team I was rooting for. I don't like Denver, but went along with everyone else tonight. MISTAKE! Denver was a let down tonight.

In regards to the best commercials in the order they appeared:
David Beckham underwear for H & M. Holy Yum.
M & M and the mob. The yellow one is my fav.
Chobani yogurt with the Full House guys.
The Budweiser with the puppy and horse-melted my heart.

Lets just say I hope the Chiefs can kick butt again next year and actually make it past the first round play off game like they did this year.
